VSO的一款支持刻录功能的视频文件转换软件，和大多数的类似软件一样，它支持大多数格式，比如：AVI to DVD; Mpeg, Mpeg, Mpeg4, MP4, VOB, WMV, DV and stream formats to DVD；并且可以将他们转换为碟片刻录，支持 DVD 和 CD。
想必每个家庭现在仍然保存有很多卡拉OK类型的VCD光盘，单张光盘储存的歌曲数量也有限，这样许多张VCD光盘堆在橱柜里实在是很占地方，不如将这些VCD光盘上的MTV歌曲烧录到DVD光盘上，一张DVD盘容量可高达4.2G，可以这样的VCD格式视频文件上百个。不过，如果我们通过系统自带的Windows Movie Maker或其它刻录软件来制作的话，一个十几分钟的卡拉OK就要占据整张DVD光盘，怎样将这些卡拉OK文件整合呢？我们这里要用到的是一款专业的DVD视频一次成型刻录软件，它的名称是ConvertXtoDvd。
一、安装及语言设置
ConvertXtoDvd的安装比较简单，不过在安装过程中会要求你选择你所在地区的视频制式，这里有两个选项分别是NTSC制和PAL制，我们所在的地区（中国）使用的是PAL制式，所以我们当然要选择PAL制，如图1所示。

安装后就可以运行ConvertXtoDvd，由于软件是多国语言版所以会自动根据你的操作系统语言版本选择合适的软件界面语言，不过遗憾的是软件在笔者的VISTA操作系统下会使用港台繁体BIG5编码语言，所以语言显示不正常，如图2所示，并且经过笔者查询发现此软件并没有内置中文简体语言包。

我们可以在Vista操作系统下打开“控制面板”，在“控制面板主页”中点击其中的“时钟、语言和区域”选项，再点击“更改国家和地区”项，在弹出的“区域和语言选项”对话框中选择“管理”标签，点击“更改系统区域设置”按钮，将“当前系统区域位置”更改为“中文（台湾）”项，然后重新启动计算机即可。
二、设置软件主题
ConvertXtoDvd 3支持将多种视频格式转换为DVD，包括avi, mpg, mov, wmv, mkv, ogm等多种格式，老VCD盘上的卡拉OK格式多为DAT格式，实际上这种DAT格式属于MPG格式的一种，我们可以通过将这些文件复制到电脑硬盘，然后将其扩展名更改为“.MPG”，这样ConvertXtoDvd 3就可以对其进行转换了。启动ConvertXtoDvd，在软件主界面中执行“设定”命令，在弹出的对话框中选择“一般”标签，如图3所示。将“工作档案夹”设置为自己的DVD视频专用储存文件夹并选择自己喜欢的“主题”（即软件皮肤）。

按下键盘上的“Insert”键或执行“文件→添加视频文件”命令，将自己要转换的MPG文件添加进来，在软件界面中点击各个信息标签，如双击最上面的“DVD选项”打开“DVD模板”选择框可以设置DVD影片开头的DVD选择菜单。双击“Disc name盘片名称”标签可以修改你的DVD视频显示名称，如可以将默认的“My DVD”修改设置为“经典卡拉OK集锦”。按照同样的方法，我们可以视频中的各个视频的详细信息进行查看和修改。
三、视频文件转换
根据自己的需要修改完毕以上信息后，点击软件界面中间大大的“Convert转换”按钮就可以对视频文件进行转换了，众所周知DVD视频修改是需要很长的时间的，具体时间根据你的机器配置和转换的文件大小有关，如果你要转换的文件较多，可以选择晚上睡觉前执行此操作并执行“动作→任务完成后关机”命令，这样软件就会在转换视频完成后自动关机了，免去漫长的无聊等待做到无人值守自动转换并关机。
小提示：如果要转换多个容量较大的文件，软件会在界面左下方给出容量提示，如果总容量超出了DVD光盘容量大小，那么ConvertXtoDvd可以根据源文件大小自动压缩转换。 我们还可以执行“设定”命令，在出现的“选择”对话框中点击“编码”标签对“编码品质/速度”和“目标大小”等项目进行设置，一般我们选择如图4设置即可。

转换完成后软件会进行提示，并要求你插入空白DVD光盘到DVD刻录机中，最后按下软件提示对话框中的“烧录”按钮就可以进行光盘刻录了。当然你也可以选择当时不进行刻录，而到自己设置的DVD视频专用储存文件夹中用“暴风影音”等播放软件来查看自己的劳动成果。
你同样可以执行“设定”命令，在弹出的对话框中选择“烧录”标签，在其中对DVD刻录速度及DVD光盘默认名称进行设置，如图5所示。
